Where is CIS located, and what areas do you service?
Our Head Office is located in Bendigo, central Victoria. We also have staff in Adelaide, Ballarat, Geelong, Horsham, Hamilton, Shoalhaven Heads and Wangaratta, servicing clients in these areas. Outside these regions, CIS is proud to deliver personalised insurance services to clients across Australia thanks to the latest technology.
Which insurers do you deal with?
CIS Community Insurance Solutions Pty Ltd) is an Authorised Representative and subsidiary of the Community Broker Network (CBN) and a member of the Steadfast Group. This means we have access to over 150 intermediated insurance providers, including specialist insurers, underwriting agencies and global markets, including Lloyds of London.
For clients, this translates to exclusive policy wordings, coverage inclusions and excesses, as well as competitive premiums.
Why has my premium gone up?
Throughout the world, including Australia, three main factors have combined to create a hardening insurance market – in simple terms, higher premiums. These are lower interest rates, an increasing number of catastrophic events driving up the number of claims, and the current inflationary market. These factors have resulted in insurers not making profits and, in some cases, losing money. In these circumstances, insurers must look to increase premiums as they seek to deliver a return to shareholders.

I have an existing policy – when should I contact you?
To ensure that our advisors can find the best possible insurance solution for your specific needs, we recommend getting in touch at least four weeks before your insurance start date. This gives us enough time to learn more about your business, liaise with multiple insurance companies, discuss our proposal with you and place your policies with the insurer.
Are your staff accredited?
Absolutely. Our Directors, Senior Managers, Account Managers and staff are all duly accredited, educated and, in many cases, hold a Diploma of Financial Services (Insurance Broking). At CIS, we’re committed to ongoing annual training and education to ensure our staff remain up-to-date with the latest industry news and accreditations.
What areas do you cover?
We are accredited general insurance brokers who offer a specialized service for Business and Farm clients nationwide. With the backing of the Community Broker Network, and access to over 150 national and international insurers courtesy of our Steadfast network connections, we can tailor the right solution for you.
Who do I contact if I have a claims emergency after hours?
Should you have an urgent claim after hours, please contact your broker, or SMS your name, contact number and claim type to 0413 519 763. Please email these details through to claims@cisbroker.com.au also.
